Catching Clinic

Summer 2021

Saturday mornings starting July 24 through August 14 (4 weeks)

We will be holding a 4 week catching clinic at Memorial Field with Coach Chewy for those who want to improve at playing the catcher position. This clinic will focus on the skills from novice to advanced. Girls will learning the following skills;

• Stance
• Receiving
• Framing
• Blocking
• Throwing
• Fielding Bunts
• Tags/Plays at the Plate

These are skills you will be able to practice at home and during practice. The more you practice these skills the better catcher you will become. The dates and times are:

What to bring to camp:

• Show up to camp early and ready to play as if you’re playing a game.
• It is recommended that players have a complete set of Catcher’s gear including glove.
• Molded cleats or tennis shoes, water and snacks.
• Many breaks will be given throughout the camp.
• Parents are welcome to observe, players and parents leave with a valuable list of drills they can incorporate into their own practice at home.
