It's important for all players to know the basic rules of softball. Please be sure you're familiar with these before you begin practices and games.

Basic Rules for 8u/10u

There are many rules and concepts to understand, but here's a good resource to learn the game of softball for new players. In addition to that, each age group has specific league rules we have to abide by:

Player Positions for 8u/10u Teams

For 8u and 10u, teams are allowed to use 10 players in the field. The positioning is shown below.

Basic Rules for 12u/15u

The basic rules and concepts for 12u/15u are the same as 8u/10u, but the skill level is more advanced and most girls have played for a few seasons. Many players focus on excelling at only a handful of positions.

Player Positions for 12u/15u Teams

For 12u and 15u, teams are only allowed to use 9 players in the field. The positioning is shown below.
